About the Course

Suppose you are short on time but really want to learn to dive in the Red Sea, a PADI Scuba Diver course may be right for you. In that case, a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver certification,  the PADI Scuba Diver rating can be seen as an intermediate step for earning your Open Water Credentials if that is your eventual aim.

With a PADI Scuba Diver certification, you can :

  1. Dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet when under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional

  2. Continue your dive training by completing an Upgrade to PADI Open Water course taking into account the dives and knowledge sections you have already completed.

What Will You Learn

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

  1. Knowledge Development. (eLearning) You will need to complete the first three of the five sections of the Open Water Diver Course to understand the basics of scuba diving.

  2. Confined Water Dives. In shallow waters, you will complete the first three of the five confined water dives of the Open Water course to learn and practice basic scuba skills.

  3. Open Water Dives. Explore the Red Sea to practice and use your newly acquired skills in two of the four Open Water dives required for the Open Water Certification.
